Christian Rangen, our veteran SWS mentor will be giving the opening keynote speech this year, titled, "Kick-ass: Making Disruptive Innovation Work For You"

Christian is the co-founder and partner in Engage Innovate – a Scandinavian management consulting company. He teaches a range of executive development programs regularly at BI Stavanger. He is also the co-author of three management books. Christian is also the happy owner of the boutique hotel and management camp -Villa Vista Taiba in Ceara, Brazil.

Snorre Kjesbu

Vice President and General Manager TelePresence & IP-Phone Business Unit Cisco   |   LinkedIn

Snorre Kjesbu is the Vice President and General Manager for the Collaboration Endpoint Technology Group (CETG). This is a global organization responsible for all of Cisco’s collaboration hard endpoints including the Cisco IP Phones and TelePresence products. As the leader of CETG, he provides direction for product management, operations, innovations and development. His global team is primarily located in the USA, Norway, China and India.

Prior to this role, he led the TelePresence Systems Business Unit (TSBU) where he was responsible for all Cisco TelePresence endpoint products, which range from personal soft clients (Movi) to full room immersive systems.

Before joining Cisco, Kjesbu was Senior Vice President for Tandberg’s Endpoint Product Division where he was responsible for the development and innovation of all Tandberg’s video endpoints. Prior to Tandberg, he was a Technology Program Manager at ABB with responsibility for ABB’s research and development on wireless communications. Kjesbu and his team at ABB were awarded the Wall Street Journal Innovation award for their work on wireless sensors in 2002.

Kjesbu serves on the board of directors of several IT-companies, and holds more than 20 patents in the area of communications and video conferencing. He is frequently invited to speak at key events and was a guest lecturer at the Stanford Network Research Center in Stanford University.

Sonja Chirico Indrebø

Sonja Chirico Indrebø is Senior Vice President IT and Chief Information Officer for Statoil and has held this position since beginning of 2011. Statoil is an international energy company with operations in 34 countries. Sonja is responsible for the global information technology strategy and all the company’s IT that supports Statoil employees and help drive strategic company priorities. This includes Information Technology, Information Management and Information Security and touches all areas of the company from exploration and drilling to marketing and sales.

Sonja’s career spans more than two decades within the Oil and Gas Industry. She worked for six years as an instrument and telecommunication's engineer in Aker Engineering (now Aker Solutions). She joined Statoil in 1998 as a senior engineer in offshore telecommunications. Since then she has held multiple technical and leadership positions mainly within the company’s IT business. She has been responsible for large scale projects and also operations of the global IT services, both applications and infrastructure.

She graduated from University of Surrey, UK, in 1992 with a BEng’s degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering (siviliingeniør).

Eivind Gransaether is founder and CEO of Mirmorax AS, an industry leader in sampling, monitoring and processing solutions to the oil & gas industry. From starting the company in 2009, it has now grown to a company with a global reach and offering multiple technology products.

Eivind is from Trondheim and holds a MSc degree in Marine Science & Subsea Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim on which he has based his engineering and subsea career. Before starting Mirmorax, Eivind was Commercialization Manager and Subsea Engineering Manager at Roxar, now part of global Fortune 200 company, Emerson. In his role as Commercialization Manager, Eivind was responsible for the commercialization of new innovations within technology, software and services systems and bringing these products to market. His global experience in oil and gas started in Roxar in subsea technology development. He then moved into management of sales in Houston followed by managing the Europe & Africa region from London, where he led a highly qualified sales force and was responsible for all commercial and administrative activity.

Eivind was also co-founder of co-founder, board member, Chairman of Smarthaus AS, working in the field of advanced reliability analyses software.

In 2010 Eivind won the L A Enger Innovation Award for most promising innovation by Polyteknisk Forening based on this patented sampling technology.

Shawn Le Maitre

Investment Manager

Shawn Le Maitre has been working as an Investment Manager with Statoil Technology Invest since June 2012. Before joining Statoil he worked as the Sales Director for a Norwegian SME (TCO AS), and has held various Business Development and Field services management roles for Schlumberger. His extensive experience in sales/business development and technology, gives him a unique perspective when it comes to SME development and growth. Shawn also currently holds board member and board observer positions for two Norwegian SMEs.

Rune Høyvik Rosnes

Business Development Manager

Rune Høyvik Rosnes is a Business Development Manager in Oceaneering where he works with game changing technology development for subsea oil & gas applications. He is constantly paving the way for disruptive innovation in various industries and this has led him to work with innovative partners such as ESA, NASA, Exxon Mobil, Shell, Statoil, GE, UiS, NTNU and others.

As a member of the board in the Space & Energy Network. he is currently working on making a Mars Base analogue in Stavanger for the ISU Space Studies Programme planned to take place in 2016. Also a member of the Program Committee at Underwater Technology Conference 2014 in addition to his role as CEO and founder of technology company Forus PRT.

Olav Mellemstrand

Finished an economy degree at the University of Stavanger, and won the regional final of Venture Cup, two out of the three years as a student. In the years after graduation, he focused on assessing the commercial potential research for Prekubator TTO.
He and his colleague Atle Riskedal, resigned after almost three years, and established Synesvarden AS, to provide the methodology that a TTO works after, to the private sector. Synesvarden’s biggest contracts are:

Harald Sævareid

Designer and Studio Manager

Harald is dedicated to create better user experiences and improved business opportunities for his customers. As a designer he has been developing trash-bins on the Guatemalan countryside, designed a professional, life-saving CPR device at Laerdal Medical and has lately he has been busy creating user-friendly interfaces for critical systems in the oil & gas industry.

Harald is the studio manager for the Stavanger branch of the design agency Halogen, working with clients from different business areas mapping out the real need, then prototyping and then designing solutions that fits into the workflow of the user.

Harald has since late 1990s taken care of the users perspective in tourism, fish, health, energy, transport, retail and research.
